Go beyond answering questions — let your agent look up real information and take action by connecting it to your business systems, so it works with live data, not just documents. This page is the map of every way an agent connects; each has its own guide.

Ways your agent connects

• APIs, databases & tools — call your REST APIs, run read-only database lookups, reach knowledge, and connect MCP tool servers. Set these up on the agent's Advanced tab — see Advanced Configuration.
• Identity providers — let your agent recognize signed-in users through your identity provider. See Identity Providers.
• Channels — publish your agent to web chat, Microsoft Teams, Slack, phone, and SMS. See Channels.
• Human escalation — hand a conversation to a person when needed. See Human Escalation.

How connecting works

Wherever you add a connection, the pattern is the same: provide its details (address and any credentials — ideally stored as workspace secrets), describe in plain language when the agent should use it, test it, and it's live. Many connections are largely set up for you — describe what you want and Zammo handles much of the configuration.
