🛠️ How-to guide

WHAT IT DOES

Ground your agent in your own knowledge so its answers are accurate, current, and on-brand. You bring in your content — help articles, documents, websites, policies — and your agent answers from that material instead of guessing. This is what turns a general assistant into one that truly knows your business.

Knowledge projects

A knowledge project connects your agent to a body of content and controls how it searches and answers. You can create as many as you need — one for product help, another for policies, another for internal support — and attach them to the right agents. See RAG Projects for every setting.

How it works

  1. Create a knowledge project. Give it a name and a short description of what it covers — for example, "City Information" or "Permits & Licensing".
  2. Bring in your content. Add the material your agent should draw from — upload documents, crawl a website or help center, connect SharePoint, or paste text directly. Refresh it any time your content changes.
  3. Tune how it answers. Choose how many sources each answer draws from, how strictly it should stick to your content, and the AI model to use. Sensible defaults are set for you.
  4. Test it. Ask sample questions and see the answers — with the sources they came from — before going live.
  5. Attach it to an agent. Connect the project to one or more agents, and they'll answer from your knowledge automatically.

Curated questions & answers

For important questions where you want an exact, approved response, add question-and-answer pairs. These give you precise control over how key topics are handled, alongside the broader knowledge your agent searches.

STAYING ACCURATE & GROUNDED

You control how closely your agent sticks to your content. Turn up groundedness and it will only answer from your material — and gracefully say when something isn't covered, rather than guessing. That keeps answers trustworthy and on-brand.
