Your organization’s website information may change after the URLs have been indexed in your knowledge base. To keep your chatbot current, you can reindex existing URLs and recrawl URLs to capture any new information and incorporate it into the knowledge base.

Reindex Existing URLs

To reindex URLs,

  1. Navigate to the knowledge base and select the data source.
  2. Select Explore to the right of the domain of interest (as highlighted in red box below).

  1. At the bottom, choose Re-Index Existing URLs.

    During the reindexing process, the Zammo crawler will analyze the all the webpages to identify and index any content that differs from what is currently stored in the knowledge base.

To maintain an up-to-date knowledge base, consider setting a reminder to perform this task every Friday afternoon.

Re-Crawl URLs

Select the Re-Crawl option to crawl any new URLs that exist under a domain. You can also adjust the indexing configurations if needed.

Before beginning the re-crawl process, you can choose whether to update existing indexed pages. If an indexed page has updated content, the Re-Crawl option will capture those changes.
