The Filter PII action redacts PII elements from user supplied utterances and consequently from the backend analytics report of your conversational AI application.

In this How To, you'll learn how to use the Filter PII action and verify that PII data has been redacted from the analytics report in the backend.

Step 1 - Adding the Filter PII Recording Action

The earlier How To involved adding an Allow All PII action. We need to remove that and replace it with the Filter PII action

  1. Select the existing Allow all PII recording action by clicking on the ... part and select Delete:

  1. Click on the + node within the designer canvas in UI Builder at the root level and select Conversation Transcription → Filter PII Recording:

  1. You can customize the level of PII filtering you want Zammo to perform. There are three options that you can choose from or mix and match to achieve the level of granularity you need for your application:
