WHAT IT DOES

Files is workspace-wide file storage — upload and organize files your agents and content can reference at runtime. It's for assets served as-is (a form, an image, a script), which is different from Sources, where content is ingested and searched.

Before you start

Anyone in the workspace can browse and download files; uploading and managing them needs a role that can edit knowledge — Editor, Content Manager, Publisher, or Admin (see Roles & Permissions).

What you'll see

A browsable folder tree of your workspace files, with columns for Name, number of Files (for folders), Size, Last Updated, and Actions. Search across files, and use the breadcrumb to move between folders.

Resources, Files — workspace file storage in folders, each item with its size and last-updated, plus download, copy-URL, and manage actions.

Adding and organizing files

Managing files

Each file offers Download, View, Copy URL (to reference it elsewhere), Rename, Move, and Delete; folders can be renamed, moved, or deleted. Select several at once to delete in bulk.

Files vs. Sources

Use Files for things an agent should link to or display; use Sources for things an agent should learn from.
