Private or Public Teams Conversation vs 1:1 Interaction with the App

There are some considerations to be aware of when working with your bot application within a Team vs interacting 1 on 1 with your bot.

If you decide to add a chatbot to a Teams Team, the chatbot will try to process everything from all participants in the conversation. As a chatbot designer, you can make the chatbot less verbose by adding logic that determines what to process and what to ignore.

The most useful chatbots understand human intent and then act accordingly. Build your Teams bots with this in mind too. If your chatbot receives an utterance it cannot comprehend, your chatbot still needs to be able to ignore this and wait for the next command.
