Zammo Agents give you the flexibility to control the style and creativity of your Agent’s responses using two key settings: Temperature and Top-p.

What Are Temperature and Top-P?

• Temperature controls how predictable or creative the bot’s responses are.
  • A lower temperature (e.g., 0.2) results in more consistent and focused replies.
  • A higher temperature (e.g., 0.9) allows for more creative, varied, and expressive responses.
• Top-P (also known as nucleus sampling) further refines how diverse the responses can be by limiting choices to the most probable words up to a certain threshold.

Together, these settings let you customize the tone and variability of your Agent to better fit your use case—whether you need accurate and repeatable outputs or a more imaginative, conversational experience.

How to Use It

You can ask the Agent Designer to adjust these values by saying something like:

“Set a more creative temperature.”

The Agent Designer will apply higher Temperature and/or Top-P settings to your agent.

(Note: While these settings may not immediately affect behavior in all deployments, they are being actively developed to give you more control over your Agent's personality and output style.)
